A: Switching your dog from processed commecial food--which is primarily the left over scraps from the manufacture of processed food for humans and no longer of quality for human consumption --can change the energy level of your dog, help them maintain an ideal weight, and generally improve your dog's quality and length of life! The overall health of your dog is so impacted by what they are fed. Loose stools, diarrhea, (we know, yucky but these are a true barometer of how your dog is processing their food) obesity, lethargy, lack of enthusiasm at meal time, are all signs that the commercial food that we've been told is the only choice, is not the very best choice. Talk to your vet as we did, and you will probably be told that nutrition is woefully under-represented in a vet's education and the major pet food companies actually underwrite a portion of vet ed and vet practices. Q: So how do I make the switch??
A: What we recommend is a transition from your dog's current diet by gradually lessening and replacing the amount of store bought food with EDG and your dog will become accustomed to their new diet with a minimum of stress to their digestive system.
